loohcs believes in the balance of work and life. We are an advocate for working ‘smart’, by being productive and managing time efficiently. This helps to minimise stress, lack of sleep and grants you free time to have a mental reset which is important for architectural education which is high stress and long term. As such, we do not endorse the stereotypical culture of all-nighters, 24/7 working and zero time for well-being. We want to minimise stress and unnecessary confusion, so clients can focus on the tasks with a balanced work ethic and inevitably with better results.

Through the tutorials, not only do we want to support the client's architectural skill development and critical thinking but help grow their soft skills such as confidence building and time management skills which are vital to thriving in university, workplace and life. loohcs methodology is a counterpoint to the conventional university system which is the One-Size-Fits-All approach. We believe in a transparent, open and flexible system to provide each student with personalised advice and tips adjusted to individual strengths, personality profile and career objectives. We aim to provide a holistic approach to education and equip you not only with knowledge and tools but more importantly the right mind set and mentality for you to excel not just during the tutorial session but beyond into professional life.

Tutorial Process

Phase 1: Introduction + Consultation

Our first meeting will begin by discussing your goals, vision, requirements and setting clear objectives for the sessions. The conversation is critical to identify goals but also your strengthens and areas of improvement so we can efficiently develop and establish a curriculum and schedule that would enhance a productive working environment to achieve the goals that you have set out.

Phase 2: Strategic Planning + Action plan

Following Phase 1, we are to discuss tangible and practical action plans (Short term / Medium term / Long term) to improve and develop the areas of weakness. We will also clarify priorities and develop a weekly/monthly schedule together to establish clear tasks, requirements, deadlines and outcomes which will help to organise and manage time with a strategy in place.

Phase 3: Summary + Validation

Following Phase 2, we will agree to a working methodology and set a outcomes to maximise the full potential of the client and establish clear deadlines, outputs and goals.

Phase 4: Action

We will begin the bespoke tutorial session to support and advise as per discussed. The schedule and requirements are to be flexible to the client’s requirement, however by setting the overarching goals and deadline allows for a holistic strategy in place.

Examples of a typical class
